If you are coming from the north (Forfar/Aberdeen), follow the A90 into Dundee till you get to a double roundabout where the A90 meets the Kingsway.
If you are coming from the east (Broughty Ferry, Carnoustie, etc), follow the A972 (Kingsway) till you get to the double roundabout where the road to Forfar and Aberdeen meets the Kingsway.
If you are coming from the south over the Tay Bridge things are more complicated! See below the map.
Once at the double roundabout turn south towards the city centre on Forfar Road (A929). Go straight through traffic lights, and then take the next right (Argyle St). Clive St is the second on the right. You can only get access to Clive Street from Argyle Street, and not from Clepington Road. Follow red line on the map - the house is in dark blue.
Coming from the Tay Bridge: as you cross the bridge, get into the right hand lane - sign-posted for Aberdeen, I think. Once you are heading east (street is called South Marketgait), cross over one roundabout and take second turning on left, at traffic lights (onto East Marketgait). At next roundabout (about 100 yards) turn right. This leads onto first Albert Street, which then becomes the Forfar Road. Note that the first bit of the link from the roundabout and Albert Street was only opened in July 2003, and doesn't appear on most maps. Shortly after passing Morgan Academy on the right (building site at time of writing, due to re-open in August 2004), turn left into Argyle Street and then second right into Clive Street. See pale blue line on map above, and on the small map below for the bit coming off the Tay Bridge.
